In early February, Sky News ran a poll on their website asking their audience to vote on the proposition:
“Should failed asylum seekers lose their benefits?”
Refugee Council alerted its campaigner supporters and the outcome was that the answer was a resounding “NO” by a majority of nearly 2-1. An astounding 130,300 votes were cast in support of asylum seekers, and the Refugee Council thanks all our supporters who voted – and who asked their friends to join them.
