Some refugees have lived in the Kakuma camp in Kenya for over two decades. Our interpreter Badasso, who was resettled from the camp and now works with the Refugee Council and the NHS, told us he waited ‘only’ 9 years for the chance to start a new life. In Hull, sometimes old friends are reunited after years apart.
