This report, based on research with 40 organisations supporting people in the UK asylum system including those working with people in northern France, examines the human impact of the Rwanda plan and the Illegal Migration Act.
It finds that they are more likely to result in people taking journeys that are even more dangerous, that they will drive vulnerable people underground, and that they are having a severe negative impact on people’s mental health.
