Refugee Council’s therapeutic service in Sheffield established a Ukraine Therapy Project in December 2022, offering counselling and play therapy to support children, young people, families and adults from the Ukrainian community who have arrived on the Homes for Ukraine and Family Visa schemes.
The service is able to offer support to all Ukrainian refugees living in Sheffield who are experiencing some form of emotional distress.
The team are working with a group of qualified interpreters who have been specially trained to work in therapeutic settings.
The Ukraine Therapy Project have a resettlement worker who offers an assessment to all new clients and provides support and advocacy with practical and social problems such as housing, welfare benefits, employment or education.

What we offer
- The therapy we offer is flexible and tailored to need. Visits can take place at school, home or agency facilities.We deliver:

- Ukrainians of any age who have come to the UK under the Homes for Ukraine scheme, and are living in Sheffield
- Open to all genders
