Why do we use telephone fundraising?
Telephone fundraising is one of the many ways we communicate with our supporters. We rely on the generosity of individuals and organisations to help us continue our work in providing services for refugees and people seeking asylum in the UK.
If you have agreed to hear from us by telephone, you may receive a call from Ethicall, a telephone fundraising agency we work with. This means you may get a call from the following number: 0117 463 2934.

Why are you carrying out a telephone appeal?
We exist to support and empower people who have fled conflict, violence, and persecution to rebuild their lives here in the UK. Regular donations can help provide a steady income for us and this enables us to continue to support and provide services for refugees and people seeking asylum in the UK.
You may hear from us if you recently signed up to our campaign for a fair and humane asylum system or if you are an existing supporter and opted in to be contacted by phone.
Signing our campaigns is a fantastic way to show your support to refugees being let down by our government, but in order to take these campaigns to the next level and create large-scale change, we need consistent financial support.
We work with a telephone fundraising agency called Ethicall speaks to supporters about how their monthly donations can help provide further support to refugees and people seeking asylum in the UK.

Telephone fundraising allows us to contact thousands of our supporters in a short space of time at a low cost, which makes this a very cost-effective way of fundraising.
The agency fundraisers we work with are trained to understand the work that we do at the Refugee Council and the issues facing refugees and people seeking asylum in the UK. The campaign cost is agreed upfront and charged per call rather than by results. It’s normally more cost-effective than the charity running this kind of campaign themselves.

What if I don’t want to be called?
