The most magical thing about this time of year is seeing the people we love. But for those of us who aren’t lucky enough to be with our loved ones, this time of year can be really hard.

Whether we’ve lost someone, or we can’t afford to travel, many of us will be missing someone this year. Sadly, the same goes for many of the refugee children we support. They might be safe in the UK now, but their hearts are with their parents who are still at risk.

The Government’s unfair family reunion laws mean that many refugee children in the UK can’t bring their parents to join them here. Countless refugee families remain separated because of these laws.
