Our Youth Services help children and young people who are seeking asylum in the UK, are without a parent or guardian, and are between the ages of 14–21.

What is this service?

Youth Casework

This service helps children and young people access the right support and offers them knowledge so they can help themselves.

The team offers:

  • Advice, information and guidance We help you understand your rights and how to ask for asylum protection and access other services like housing, health and education.
  • To work with others on your behalf With your permission, we speak with your social worker, foster carer, support worker, GP, teacher, solicitor and others to ensure you that have the support you need.
  • To give you a voice We listen to your feelings and thoughts and ensure that your needs are listened to, and your rights are protected.

Can I use this service?

This service for children and young people who:

  • Live in London.
  • Can travel to our office alone.
  • Are between 14 and 21 years old.
  • Have been referred to us.
  • Have come to seek protection in the UK without family.
  • Have recently arrived in the UK and waiting for a school or college place.
  • Are supported by the social services (Local Authority).
  • Are turning (or have recently turned) 18 years old and living alone.
  • Are in school or college and need support or want to join social activities.
