Employment Advice and Support for Refugees with Professional Background
What is this service?
- Expert information, advice and guidance on training and employment
- “Action Planning” sessions to discuss your career goals and options
- Step-by-step support to achieve your goals
- Advanced training
- Assistance to access volunteering and work placements
- Assistance to access job opportunities
Can I use this service?
You can access this service if you have:
- Refugee Status.
- Humanitarian Protection as a result of asylum.
- Refugee Family Reunion visa.
- Resettlement schemesHomes for Ukraine, with evidence (eVisa screenshot).
- Minimum English (Level 1 or equivalent)
- Basic IT skills (Entry Level 3 or equivalent)
- Actively looking for work or pursuing a professional career.
- Willing to participate in project activities and job interviews, training and other related activities.

IKEA ‘UPPNA’ Employability Course & Placement
What is this service?
Participants gain support from:
- an employability course
- an introduction to IKEA and
- an interview for an 8-week paid work placement in IKEA stores.
Can I use this service?
- Refugee Status, Humanitarian Protection as a result of asylum, Refugee Family Reunion visa, Resettlement schemes, Homes for Ukraine, with evidence (eVisa screenshot)
- Minimum English (Entry Level 3 or equivalent)
- Basic IT skills (Entry Level 2 or equivalent)
- Actively looking for work and willing to participate in project activities and job interviews, training and other related activities
