Fight the Government’s Anti-Refugee Bill

The Government has launched a cold-hearted attack on refugee rights.

UPDATED 7th December

On December 7th and 8th the Nationality and Borders Bill enters its final stages in the House of Commons, before passing over to the House of Lords. During these two days MPs will be voting on changes to the bill.

Thank you to over 2000 of you who wrote to your MP in the last week calling on them to stand up against some of the Bill’s most cruel and counterproductive measures.

We will be following the next couple of days in Parliament very closely – please keep an eye out on this page for further updates, information and action.

Thank you!

This petition is now closed.  Over 64,000 people signed their name and opposed the Government’s Anti-Refugee Bill. Thank you.

On 16th November we delivered these 64,000 names together with similar petitions from other organisations – totalling 179,166 people – to the Prime Minister at Downing Street.

Our message was loud and clear – the Government Nationality and Borders Bill is unacceptable, cruel and should not be passed into law in its current form.

If the Government is serious about saving lives, it must abandon the brutal, punitive measures in the Bill and invest in creating more safe routes for refugees to get to the UK.
